- **Gameplay**
- We have added 5 difficulty levels. The design goal is that level 1 is easy no matter what gear you have. Where tier 5 should be almost impossible without really fantastic gear. The higher difficulty level gives better rewards and lets you overpower your sparks and cores beyond what is unlocked in the season level from Power Plants. This will need lots of feedback to help get this dialed in.
- Loadouts now have a gear score to help you better understand your loadout’s power level. We will use this in the future for matchmaking to try and pair similarly geared players.
- Missions will now use your gear score or your level when adjusting difficulty, whichever is lower. This is to help with players switching from one game mode to another with only basic equipment in that new game mode but already a higher level.
- Ships now have strafe. Controls are A/D (Gamepad Left Stick X Axis)
- Ship Roll controls moved to Q/E (Gamepad Left/Right shoulders)
- Ship Drift controls moved to Left Trigger on Gamepad
- Ship camera tweaks as well to make moving in all directions feel correct.
- Trainer now correctly tests for finishing any of the training missions before proceeding with quests on Nexus Station
- Fixed missing cores and sparks tabs in player inventory
- Fixed ground error over tunnels where you would get stuck on the small variations on the ground.
- Fixed bug with starter rifle aim/heat issues
- Improved some bad camera angles in TBG when firing weapons
- Barrels can no longer dodge in TBG
- Pressing ESC when in targeting mode in TBG now backs out to move
- Fixed bad barrel and residuum spawns in TBG
- You can now fire your weapon in turn based ground/space before combat has started. This makes a sound that if an enemy hears they will engage. Barrels exploding also makes a very large range sound.
- Enemies will no longer agro other enemies just by walking near them or seeing an enemy move. This improves stringing out pulling too many enemies from far away.
- Fixed a number of cases where the virtual gamepad cursor would be invisible.
- TBS also now randomizes starting ship locations.
- Enemy ships will now disengage for a small amount of time after player death to give you a chance to reorient to the battle and not get overwhelmed.
- Fixed a bug where the portal-in effect would replay after respawns in RTG and player input would go away.
- AI ships should no longer jitter when trying to aim at a player. This also improves their aim so watch out!
- Fixed a number of reported crashes.
- **Sound**
- Fixed rock sounds on planets during printing mode
